Hepatic Function Panel

Hello everybody!!  

I've been away from this site just trying to keep my mind busy and away from the thought I have relapse.  I got some test done just routine and I got only a Hepatic Function Panel back everything looks in the normal range.  I personally am experiencing some gastro problems since finish tx which was first week of Dec.  I'm still following the diet but still have minor problems.  I will try to get a VL test this week just for the peace of mind.. and until July I have an appt. with my Hep Dr. this will be the 6 moths post tx.

Question does this Hepatic Function Panel mean anything that I'm still UND I have read that enzymes can be normal and you can still have the virus.  Thanks for any comments on this.

The way I understand it is if you had elevated enzymes before you treated and they went to normal when you became UND then if they are still normal you have a chance the VL didn't return. But only the VL test will tell you for sure.

Get your belly checked if condition persists.  I waited too long post tx thinking it was anxiety waiting for post tx lab. as usual when it comes to myself i was wrong. I let the belly pain go on for mths and ended up with 3 bleeding ulcers which they attributed to riba. Make a hep appt if condition persists, its so simple to tx.  much beterr than ending up in icu and getting 4 pints of blood... Then i had to worry if i was going to get a new version of hep GHIJK  etc. Now on nexium for the rest of my life.  Such a simple thing to resolve, if i didnt let it go on and on.  Good luck on svr.  congratulations on finishing tx.
