Hepatitis C antibodies baby

by Jackmac, Apr 05, 2002 12:00AM
I am going to adopt a 6 month old baby from Russia whose mother has Hepatitis C.  According to the doctor at the orphanage, the baby was born with hepatitis c antibodies but not the disease itself.  When the baby was the first born the antibodies were very high but when tested a few weeks later they were much lower.  The doctor from Russia felt they would disapear altogether by 15 months.  Is anyone familar with this or have an idea where I could get more information ?  This is my first time on the web site.
