Hepatitis C/sexual activity

My husband has Hep C and has not been sexually active due to the nature of his disease. However, the last time, the semen was brownish/orange and we want to know what this is and if it needs to be treated.

I really don’t know what, if anything brown semen is suggestive of; but I’d want to at least call the doctor and get his/her thoughts on this.

On another note, HCV isn’t really considered a sexually transmitted disease; it’s unusual for it to be passed via sexual intercourse. Many of us in here have had the disease for decades, took no precautions with our spouses/partners, and they remain virus free. The disease requires blood-to-blood transfer to transmit efficiently.

Good luck with everything,

-Bill

Might be worth a doctor visit.

definitely, should be tested. I think its a serious possible complication of whatever condition your husband has.
