Hepatitis C

I've had hepatits c for several years that I've known about.  All my friends and an ex-husband has died from this.  I got my blood test today and found out the lymphocyte count was 88.   what is normal and what actions do I need to take for this problem?

You need to get treated for the virus. It won't go away on it's own, but you also don't have to die from it. I did the treatment for 48 weeks. It was hard but according to my last lab work, there still isn't any virus in my blood, so it was worth it. It has only been a little over a month since I finished so I'm not feeling like my old self yet, but I have read about a lot of people on this site who feel much better than they have in years. Imagine... wouldn't it be good to feel that? Don't let this dragon kill you without a good fight.

The reference range given for lymphocytes by Quest Diagnostics is 20-45%. Your value is obviously higher, and it’s a good idea to follow up with your doctor. However, I don’t believe this tells us much about your HCV disease status.

Have you had a liver biopsy in the past? HCV genotype test? Are your blood platelets normal?

Welcome to the discussion group, by the way-
