Hepatitis c non hodgkins lymphoma

I'm  halfway through 48 wk treatmrnt for genotype1 hepc. Doing redipen with riba. I now have lymphadenopathy which I'm going to have a cat scan for, I also had a mammogram which came back clear my big concern is non hodgkins lymphoma ,I have read recently that there appears to be a link with hepatitis c,neither my gastroenterologist or family doctor were aware of this.Anyone out there having lymphadenopathy and hepc I would appreciate your experiences

Yes, there's a well documented association between hepatitis c and non-hodgkins lymphoma. In fact, I may have a variant myself, cutaneous t-cell lymphoma which is a a less serious form as long as it stays cutaneous (skin level) and does not become systemic.

However, you may be jumping the gun from lymphadenopathy to non-hodgkins lymphoma. Lymphadenopathy has many causes. In other words, don't worry too much unless testing proves otherwise. There are lots and lots of things associated with hep c, but just because you have hep c doesn't mean you have them.

Good luck with treatment.

I had an outbreak of guttate (small, tear-drop raised) lesions on my trunk, legs and arms. Then they did a biopsy. I also have guttate psoriasis so the diag is not 100% definitive. Follow-up biopsies will be required.

Glad you appear to be doing so well with treatment. I'm a little more than halfway through myself.

Thanks for kind words for years had a lot of symptoms that I was told were in my head finding out I had hepc actually was a relief the weird thing is in spite of all the tx side effects  when I feel good I feel the best I have felt in years so I guess I'm just a little freaked out because I feel good and actually lymphadenopathy doesn't scare because I do feel so good. how did you get diagnosed on your variation of lymphoma

Why would I have bruises and broken blood cells appearing out of nowhere for last month. They took blood test but said it was normal. I don't think its normal if a blood pressure cuff caused massive bruising. After I took an ibuprofen last week I almost passed out. I don't know what's going on. I've had Hep C for 40 years, but they just found out last year.
