Hepatitis c risk?

Just recently found out my friend`s mother has hep c and have shared cigarettes, drinks and such without knowing this.I am really freaking out because there was a time that I had a small cold sore on the corner of my mouth and now I am stuck with the possibility that she could have been bleeding from bad hygeine or a cut maybe. Is this a risk worth getting tested over or am I misunderstood on what it takes to transmit it? I don't have a doctor to ask which is why I am here. Advise anyone, PLEASE&name=Infoready

If you are that worried about it, get tested.  But, IMHO there is hardly any risk to you from your rather limited exposure.  Hep C is a blood borne this is true, but it's just not real common to get it this way.  The most common way is through needle or sharps stick.  I.E. Tatooing, piercings, IV drug use, medical personal accidental needle stick.  In the past, prior to 1992, before they had a blood test for it in our blood supply, people were getting infected through blood transfusion, but now that the blood is being tested, this is not happening very often.  There is a very small risk of sexual transmission and through childbirth.  In any case, get your test and when it comes back negative, you can put your mind at ease.
