HepatitisResearcher - What do you think of this case?

This is my case, it is about negative hepatitis tests, after risky exposure, and despite weird symptoms of liver damage and lab abnormalities (e.g. serum bile acid elevations)

May i ask you, what is your view on this case?

Somebody in the thread said, well, ANYTHING could be floating around in my blood. I would be interested if you know if there are research facilities that can detect even unrecognized hepatic viruses?

May i ask you, what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Joachim although I did say some unknown thing could be floating around in your blood, that was for those who have direct blood to blood exposure. I'm not sure your "eurotrash girl-oral sex encounter/oh dear I woke up with spot on my lip" experience really qualifies for confirmed blood to blood exposure. Otherwise if HR does decide to answer your question, this is going to be GOOD. ;-)

I would not take a chance on flying to meet HR.  The varices that Joachim feels like he has might rupture with airplane cabin pressure changes.

Selbst "unbekannte Hepatitisviren" wuerden sich wohl als de facto Hepatitis bemerkbar machen, diese besteht aber offenbar nicht.

danke vielmals! (in der tat, du hast korrekt geschlossen von meinem namen auf die muttersprache :-)

i don't want to appear like a liver-centered hypochondriac, but the unpleasant thing is, that whenever some tests are done to show that the liver is NOT the problem, such as recently the serum bile acid tests, voila, everything points towards the liver again..., not to mention my subjective perception of "liver symptoms"...

BUT, enough of my lamenting and whining.... I thank you for your assessment, and will talk with my internist about possible other causes, thanks for the list of things to start with -
