How much will it cost for me to have a blood test with no insurance?

Health Department used to do it for free. Not sure about the VL.

I don't know but call around.  Start with Quest Diagnostics.  And always ask for a discount since you have no insurance.  After that, sign up for insurance www.healthcare.gov

That should read "...if you test neg I would test again 6 months past..."

An antibody test to see if you've been exposed can sometimes be obtained for free. If you test antibody + you'll need to check for viral load and genotype and I would test again 6 months past time of possible exposure. I've had a good, sensitive vl test be priced upward of $500, but you can probably find cheaper.
