High ALT / AST levels

Hi I have an AST Level of 97 and ALT of 204. Also a high WBC count 6 - 10.  Should I be worried?  I am 46 6'1" and about 195lbs.  I was taking finasteride daily and a few supplements.  Thanks so much for your help.

So I stopped taking Finasteride for a little over 2 weeks and now my AST is now 25 and my ALT is 40.  I guess I wont be taking that anymore :(

Your liver enzyme test results are above normal this indicates something is bothering your liver. You should see a doctor to determine the root cause.

We are a community of patients primarily a support group of people who either are or were infected with the hepatitis C virus there are no medical professionals here.

I'd look into it. Your levels are elevated and, from the little I know about Finasteride, elevated liver enzymes are not a common side effect of that drug. I think you'd be wise to schedule an appointment with a hepatologist if there is one in your area and, if not, then see a gastroenterologist. You really want to find out what is causing your elevated enzymes.
Good luck.
