High SGPT SGOT

My SGPT was found to be 680 and SGOT 840, GGTP 160 on 21/11/07. I had the test redone on 22/11/07 from a diff lab to confirm. The tests showed SGPT 900, SGOT 887, GGTP 244. I have a history of heavy alcohol consumption for a few months followed by a few months of total break. My ultrasound shows fatty liver with normal portal and hepatic veins. These readings do not seem consistent with alcohol abuse. Is there any cause other than alcohol to explain these absurdly high readings?. I am 45 years old, heavy smoker ( 40 cigs a day ), and when drinking its a bottle of vodka a day. Hepatitis C which was tested is negative, as is HCV and HIV. I am taking herbal medication for my Haemorrhoids and Vitamin B1 supplements ( thiamine) due to alcohol consumption.  Any idea what can be wrong with me. Help appreciated !!

I had similar numbers for SGPT and SGOT and GGT before I got diagnosed for hepc
I was also a regular drinker.
herbs is a probability for your numbers being so high as they do raise the SGPT and SGOT levels but at the same time I would suggest you get tested once again to reasssure yourself that you have not contracted any of the diseases you have mentioned in your post
Take care
