High SGPT and SGOT

I am Sajith,aged 26 years,male and a resident of India.I have been suffering from Jaundice for the past three months.After this I am using food items with little oil and spices,and also I am a teetotaller.
Doctor diagnosed my disease as
"Acute Virus A hepatitis.Acute Pancreatitis+Haemolysis".

My bilirubin(T),SGOT,SGPT for the previous three test are as follows

bilirubin(T){mg/dl}    SGOT{U/L}   SGPT{U/L}
1. 3       57 131
2.      1.8 25 39
3.      0.8 39 57

Why this SGOT and SGPT are varying?Is there any relation between bilirubin and these two?How to decrease these counts?Is there any particular diet needed to reduce the counts?
Expecting a valuable advice from your side
Thanking you
Sajith

I think Erin GI PA forgot to put a "no" in front of the diet & medication....that there is no specific diet or medication to cure Hep A.  I think the only thing you can do for it is rest!
Good luck and better health to you!

Check out the following web site regarding Haemolysis.  It and the pancreatitis are caused by the hepatitis.  The vast majority (99%) of those infected with the Hep A virus go on to fully recover without treatment.  Your billirubin SGOT and SGPT are liver enzymes.  They can be fully explained at the following site  http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/liverdiseasesgeneral.html

You were diagnosed with Hepatitis A, a virus that attacks the liver.  Your liver numbers (SGOT, SGPT) reflect liver inflammation..they will (and are for the most part) trending downwards as your body gets over this virus.  The bilirubin is elevated when the liver becomes so inflammed that  it cant break down bilirubin correctly.  This too will resolve over time.  I would worry about the most resent set of liver tests being minimally higher than the last..We look at the overall trend.

There is particular diet or medication to treat Hep A.
