Before I treated this last time I had done a lot of research about people relapsing. There was a doctor on here HepatitisResearcher.
I had heard that there were some things that could be done to help with SVR.
Right or wrong I did make sure my sugar remained stable (I have diabetes) and I took sublingual B12. I wanted to do whatever I could to help me with the tx.
interesting. Wonder what dose those participants took and how they took it (oral/injection/patch)
this is a link talking about increased SVR rates after vit b12 supplementation in injection form

I'm unaware of the use of B-12 for treatment in HCV... How would one determine its benefit?
I just re read your post, could you have gotten a high result because of the recent injection?
Thank you so much for this post. I was taking B12 during tx as I was told it could help my chance to SVR.
I have an appt beginning of June I am going to ask for complete blood work.
I have read that B12 is stored for up to 5 years.
I am rooting for you

I didn't know that, about B12. My B12 readings are always high but I thought it was because I take B12, B6 with folic acid. Doctors have never said anything about the high reading, I just assumed it was a good thing. I guess I shouldn't be taking the vitamins. I'll have to research this. Learn something new everyday. Thanks for bringing this subject up...... Streamer
Hi Jules
I was doing vit B12 for the HCV actually to increase the chances of SVR
Unfortunatelly B12 does not do anything for NHL
However, high level of vit B12 can be also as a result of advanced liver disease, liver metastasis, some type of leukemia and myelo disorders
I guess I shoud re test in a few weeks
You need to consult with your Dr. But i would say that he prescribed it because of your NHL. Besides Hep C you have to focus on NHL too. Are your Drs communicating sith each other?
Unfortunately, you have to focus on both. Be your own advocate and you will be fine
