Ypu. I had a number of issues with the procrit. Very nerve racking -- I know. The consensus I got was you're fine; it got where it needs to go -- but overall you should try to avoid repeats. Be sure to do the needle at the 45 degree angle, and inject slowly. Avoid that area (on both sides of the body) in the future. When I hit a problem, I pulled out and looked for more fertile ground elsewhere.... but that's enough about my dating life....
Seriously, they don't recommend it, but when I found the procrit wasn't going right, I yanked and moved to another spot.
Good luck and take it easy.....
I do allot of insulin shots every day I put a small touch of back presser on the syringe if I hit a vain it shows blood
Even if you hit a vein, the Procrit got where it is supposed to. Folks on hemodialysis for kidney failure routinely get Procrit, and they get it directly into their vein access.
Still, its good to pull out if you get a blood flash by pulling back gently on the syringe and trying another spot.

Thanks, I got lazy and I'll go back to the old pull back.
