Houston we have a problem...

Was suppose to get my monthly shipment of meds along with neupogen tomorrow. Seems Medco was getting these meds from a specialty pharmacy called adecco. They fired adecco. So adecco will not send them. medco does not yet have a new supplier. So......... Medco tells my poor wife that they told adecco to send them and medco would compensate or something. Dawn (my wife) calls to confirm with adecco, but guess what? They don't speak no good english! So, i have no idea if or when I can expect these meds to arrive. She got the doctors office involved so hopefully that will help.  This kind of thing has happened on my past toxs' as well.

Sooooo........ When I advise people to "sit" on there meds for a month, well this is why. murphy's law.

I sat on mine for a month so I am in no immediate danger. (except for the neupogen of course).

So ,SIT ON THOSE MEDS FOLKS!!

i cannot believe it.... they KNOW that not having the meds, can totally frikkkkk up someone's treatment. It is unbelievable. Now I understand why you advise ppl to sit on their supply. Wow.

I'm glad you're covered.

What language do they speak there, maybe someone can help out.

Saw him in Copenhagen's Tivoli outdoor stage the year before last. Still as crazy as ever. We had a great laugh... And sure enough, he lit one on stage, too... He had his  rapping granddaughter on tour with him. And those costumes... :-) we had a lot of fun that evening!

There are good people on the forum who have to sometimes stop treatment early.  One of these was kind enough to send me her unused meds.

hope you got your probs worked out with accredo... they are my pharmacy as well, but i have yet to start tx.  Should start soon.

I did call them , and they lady i talked to had no idea about any of this but I am sure she was just a drone.

I did find out from a friend the following:

"The specialty pharmacy used by Medco is called Acreddo, not Adecco like the MedHelp post says.  And I don't see how Medco can "fire" Accredo.  I did a little research and found out that.....

"Accredo is wholly OWNED by Medco"

The Medco website says that members can either use retail pharmacies OR their mail order pharmacy to get prescriptions.  And they have a pharmacist available 24/7.....and I really doubt that "They don't speak no good english!" as the MedHelp post says.

I just read about your problems.

I have 2 shots of Neupogen in the fridge.  Since my Dr.'s office didn't take it (they changed their policy and don't take any more leftovers).  It has been a year after my treatment --- so I'm not sure if it expired --- but I would think it still should be okey -- so if you need it, please let me know.

I use medo, and Acredo and i talked to them on monday they are shipping on weds.  they didnt mention anything about them not doing business with acredo, as a matter of fact do you get the voice mail reminders that its time to reorder.  they call me all the time.
and if you need i have plenty of riba

Thanks all. I got the meds, but it was a nightmare of phone tag. UHC changing over to Rx pharmacies or something. Glad no one else has had this problem.

If I didn't have six weeks of Peg and Procrit in my fridge at all times, or six weeks of riba in my drawer, I'd start to get nervous. Playing it down to the last week (or days) could potentially screw up your treatment, not to mention your nerves.
