How do you get help with the cost of tx?

Hi all I was wandering if anyone knows of a good way to get help with my copay cost for tx. I will be starting some time with in a week from now if all goes well and my insurance okays it ( fingers crossed )  I sined up for an application for the Merck assistance program so we'll see how that goes but it said on the web site it's mostly for people with out insurance and I do have insurance. Also would like to see if I can get help with the riba and interferon as well. My husband estamtes with what my specialist told us it will be 200 a week for our co pay on just the victrelis alone! Any help is much appreciated.

Pegassist will connect you with a foundation that will help you pay.  They gave me 3,000 for tx.  My co pay for the rib was only 25.00 so the peg wa basically covered.

There is also co-pay relief that is helping me with rescue drugs.  Their number is 1-866 -512-3861.

For the Peginterferon, the total cost through the pharmacy for me is $2412 per four 180 ml injections.  Of this, my out of pocket is $600 per four = $7,200/48 injections.  It was explained that this is a Tier 4 drug and is handled differently than the less expensive Tier 1-3 drugs.  Each health insurance policy has certain provisions for prescription coverage.

Also, if I need Procrit, I was told that would be ~ $50 out of pocket per injection, not sure how many would be necessary.  

I'm exploring some assistance through Genentech with this, but unfortunately those with insurance and a reasonable income have trouble receiving assistance.  

Any suggestions for exploring assistance is appreciated.

Vertex is making Incivek available to people with income less than $100,000 with or without insurance. Call this number, (1-855-837-8394) and they will tell you what to do.
