First shot is the worst by far. Doctor told me to go home and feel bad. Take tylenol and try to sleep. It was a tough night with cold and hot sweats all night long. Then the other shots were hardly noticeable for me. Tired, fatigue but not the hot/cold sweats. I'm sure everyone is different and the symptoms can vary a lot in each person. Good luck.
Great advice as always my Candyman! :)
Flu-like Symptoms
(fever, chills, headaches, fatigue, muscle aches)
• One hour before your injection, take 2
regular strength
acetaminophen (Tylenol®
or generic), or 2 ibuprofen (Advil®, Motrin®,
or
generic). You may repeat every 4-6 hours
after your injection as needed.
• Do not take more than 2000 mg of
acetaminophen in 24
hour period.
• Do not take more than 1600 mg of
ibuprofen in 24 hour
period.
• *If you take both acetaminophen and
ibuprofen in the same 24
hour period,
do not take more than half the maximum
daily dose listed
above for each product.*
• Increase your daily intake of fluids
(nonalcoholic
and non-caffeinated).
We recommend 8–10 glasses (8 oz.) of
water or other clear
beverages each day.

Thank you. I hope the next shot doesn't cause fever.
Thank you. Its comforting to know that tylenol will help. And thanks for the tip to take it before the shot next time.
Looking good there Cando :)
And yes that first shot was the worst by far for me
The first shot can be a real butt kicker, many doctors recommend taking a couple tylenol when you take your shot... Your mother should be fine, best to both of you.
Hi Meg have her take a tylenol. That will make her feel better. I think most of us on the forum take a tylenol about an hour or two before our shot to minimize the side effects. It has helped me tremendously!
