How to interpret Hep C test result?

Hi, could you help me interpret my Hep C test result? I tested for heptatitis C antibody and the result is:

Hep C antibody : Non Reative
Signal to cut off: 0.03  (Ref Range: 1.00)

What is signal to cut off? Does 0.03 mean that I have some HCV in my body? If yes, then will I get sick? Thank you.

HI there,
thats all to technical for me too, i mean i have had hep c for like 14 years and didnt understand any of it till about a year ago when i started questioning it, lol...and still learing alot about what all those technical abbreviations mean...I'm sure it wont be long before someone here comes up with an answer. As for feeling sick, well everyone is different, but i think it the actual norm not to get sick right off the back if u had hep c....ive had it for 14 years and still dont really feel like i have it unless i come on here and reality tells me i have what i have or when my doct' talks about it....its the treatments that will make ya feel a lil weird, but again everyone is different....
Hope all is well, good luck

I read the "non reactive" to mean that you do not have HCV.  See below from the following site: http://www.hepc8690.com/content/documents/SOPs/SOPtestCriteria-e.shtml

HCV Antibody Tests usually read "positive" or "reactive" when the antibodies are present in the blood. HCV Antibody Tests usually read "negative" or "non-reactive" when there are no antibodies present. When the HCV Antibody Test is non-conclusive for the presence of antibodies, the tests usually read "discordant", "indeterminate", "inconclusive" or "weakly reactive".
