I am taking Pegitron+Rebatol

Dear Dector
I have Virus C genotype 4, I started the courese at 24/5/2008. I take PEG-Intron Redipen one 0.4 micrograms per week and 1000 grams Rivrina per day. During the treatement I traveled by airoplane. The results are the fellowing

16/3/2009    43    17442Now I asking If the treatement is effective or no.and can I continoue for another 6 months with total 18 month or notanother one I can ask bout the time during the travel in airoplane I put the medicine in icbox but the travel time is about 13 hours may be the medicine lost its effectivity and how long the medicine left outside the cooler or refrigerator without harmful.I wait your answer

You have posted your question to a hepatitis C board where none of us are doctors.

Based on my lay-persons understanding of the treatment, your viral load did not go down enough, soon enough. It looks like you have been treating for 9 months and you have not yet gone UNDETECTABLE. This means the drugs are not working.

You should have cleared the virus at 12 weeks to be able to treat for 48 weeks. If not that, then you should have cleared by 24 weeks to go 72 weeks on the medication.
