I feel good.. knew that I would

This James Brown's line inspired me this morning.  I finished tx two weeks ago today and honestly I did not know I would feel this good so fast.  I have had an energy burst this week and have been cleaning and ripping my house apart.  Not sure what my hgb is, last blood work was 3 weeks ago and hgb was 9.8 but i am guessing it is over 11 with the way I feel.  I will do cbc and VL in two weeks, but just wanted those in treatment now to know that there IS light at the end of the tunnel!

Cool , very glad to hear your TSHs was monitored during Tx ! Hope your 4 week CBC's all show signs of clearing the meds and on the road to recovery !

It Feels Great not to take any more pills / shots ! I got allot of the Riba in my system , so expect it to take a while to clear out .. every day a little better : )

Aaron,

Thanks for the heads up!  My TSH was done 4 times during my 30 weeks of tx and it was fine each time, but that is not to say it is still okay now.  I will have it checked at 8 week post tx blood work.  Go for 4 week test on tuesday!  Cross your fingers... :)    Glad to hear you are recovering okay.. doesn't it feel wonderful to not have to take those pills everyday and to get some energy back?  60 weeks.. geesh, I respect those of  you who endured such long therapy.  SVR to us both.

Sandy ,very happy for you ! I also finished Tx 2 weeks ago today ...

Not sure how to ask this , so directly ... did you have your Thyroid (TSHs ,  FT4 ) monitored or any thyroid issues during Tx ?

The reason I ask .. a friend who finished Tx 3 months ago ... She used Exactly the same words as you after 2 weeks EOT .. "didn't know I would recover so quickly , ripped my house apart , energy burst, feel so good" etc ...

Sadly it was the effect of her thyroid crashing : (

Her Thyroid was not monitored during Tx and the problem wasn't found until to late.
Don't want to scare you , but definitely concerned only because your words and hers Are Exactly the same at the same time frame EOT.

I hope you are just having a quick recovery !

My recovery is coming along ok ,feel quite a bit better already .. I did 60 weeks P/R Tx ..

Best, Aaron

Thanks for the hope that it is possible to bounce back quickly.  I have two weeks to go and have been trying to not have too high expectations of how quickly I'll feel better.  So far I've been lucky as my side effects haven't been too severe.

Take care, Sherry
