I find it amazing

I find it amazing

I just find it mind boggling how people get through their tx.
Some struggle all the way thru- and some breeze thru.

I personally have met quite a few people that had no side effects than being tired.

We are all so different.

I am deciding myself as to when to treat I just had my bx come back and Im Stage 2.

I have no idea yet......as to when.

Have a nice day.

I hear ya, it's not easy to decide to treat or wait till better drugs come out.  I treated for 26 weeks, no liver damage, low VL and geno 2B and still I relapsed, there is no easy answer.  I'm waiting for something to replace the riba as I have thalassemia (anemia) and the doc won't put me on the riba again.  While txing I also needed 2 tranfusions.

What geno type are you?

My doc told be 25% people have no sides. And the remaining vary in symptoms. In the past year have met thru my support group almost 10 people without any sx.
Iam genotype 1.
My doc told me to stay off forums.
There is no way of knowing how slow or fast his progesses and I would like to be around for another 25 years??????????

i do not agree to there is no way of knowing how fast it is progressing.
if you had it for 20 years and only a stage 2 it is very slow. if you had it for 2 years and a stage 2 it is progressing fast. i had it 37 years and was only a stage 2 until i started drinking hevely again.
any way, waiting 1 year to see how new tx is doing will not make a hill of beans in any case.

what i meant is that charts show if one is a low stage in many years of hep it is progressing SLOW.  if a high stage in a short time one is progressing fast.

at stage 2 in 37 years i was progerssing slow.

also your dr may have said only 25% have notisable sd,s.
did he also mention that only 45% of those to tx were sucessful and the rest ,55% were NOT? a year to find out you are in the same spot as before?

i do respect your opinion and am just offering mine as one who has treated, reached svr and wish even now i could have waited.

ps, my sides were not real bad but a year of my life went to it and i wish i could have it back.

doc told me be 57% successful with treatment now. But how long do any of us really know how long we have it?? Thats the thing. I undertand how you feel though.

My doc said my sx would go away after the first couple weeks of treatment. I guess I wasn't paying attention. I think he meant the first couple weeks AFTER treatment. I have to say though, all in all, the fatigue was the worse. I could handle the rage, the rash, the aches and pains but being tired all the time was the pits. There were only a couple periods during my tx that were rough but for the most part, it's all doable.  I think I missed two days of work out of 48 weeks. Good luck!
