If you can, try a Pharmasset trial. They are getting good results so far.
I am also stage 2 had a biopsy 6 weeks ago which was to honest a relief as I was told a month earlier I may have stage 4 cirhoisis fibroscan score of 16 , anyway biopsy confirmed I am stage 2 . I think it is a good idea to start treatment within a year as I will do I hope . I am waiting for teleprevir to be released into melbourne , australia , they tell me a year lets see . Stage 2 is not that bad , dont panic .
You may stay stage 2 for 5 or 10 years or you may go to stage 3 or 4 within a couple of years , no one can answer that . All you can do in the meantime is try and eat well , think positive and the obvious one which everyone will tell you , stay away from alcohol . I am looking forward to starting treatment myself I want to get rid of this , sick and tired of thinking about it .
Hi I am sure you are speaking of being stage 2 since you are talking about biopsy results and geno type is not determined through biopsy as far as I know, but in regards to wether this is good, it beats being a stage 3 or 4 but anyway my biopsy had come out a stage 2 as well couple of years ago, my doctor wanted me to treat asap, but I chose to wait for new drugs and now we have some good choices, I personally am starting an all oral treatment through gilead, this is a trial, so I will see how this goes, im sure others will weigh in here, people in this forum nygirl bill1954 and others are all great and helped me in a big way when I first got diagnosed and was so confused, hang in there and keep checking the blog for good info.
HepC at any level is never any good but I'm just a bit confused. Are you talking about genotype 2? Anyways, I gotta get back to work, post again and people will help you out. Oh and welcome to the forum.
You mean stage 2 or grade 2?
