ICD codes relevant to haptitis C

I am going to do a preliminary exploration of the changing incidence of hepatitis B, and C and liver cirrhosis across several years of data in US. I wonder if you agree with me that ICD-9 codes 070.2 , 0703, 07042,07052 for Hep B and 070.41, 070.44,07051,070 54 for hepatitis C are the only ones that purely specify these infections. At this stage, the estimations are not going to be done. Also, I need to say that  I have yet to see the literature on this.
Thanks

No,....because I don't see anything in those codes dealing with cirrhosis.  But it could just be I am tired.  It was listed under 571.5, or 571, tho.

I agree with copyman.......we're mostly patients and don't follow too closely ICD9 coding.  (except maybe for this ole' insurance girl, lol!) That was a little walk down memory lane for me.....Good luck with your research.
