HR has talked of how important ALA is. Many of us take it as well as other supplements.

HR has recommended the liver lover supplement regimen and has discussed it in detail in the following links: .

Interesting. I wish something like this could cure us though. I hate taking these toxic meds but thats all we really have right now.  Sooner or later the medical schools will have to start teaching more of alternative medicine. Most doctors are not open even to discussion of anything alternative and I think that is just because its not really taught in med school. I always did take ALA - stopped now cause I am getting ready to tx and since ALA is a chelator, I am concerned it might remove the meds from my system as I am txing. But anyhow I have a high amount of lead in my system. Off the charts - found that out a few years ago while I was trying to find out why my liver enzymes were slightly elevated. I live in the NYC area so its probably all the pollution over the years - cause I don't remember eating paint chips as a child.*smile* I also have alot of mercury in my system. So thats the reason I was taking ALA  and tons of vitamin C. I didn't re-test so I don't know if I still have alot of lead and mercury. I used to eat alot of tuna and now I cut down to hardly any at all.

You might be interested in reading this. Not about Hepc, but cancer,If you don't have time to read it all, you might want to scroll down to what the treatment regimen is. Nutrional approach - thats why I thought you might be interested. I find it interesting.

Take care,
