If one has hep c will getting hep b vaccine be dangerous?

I was diognosed with hep c 7 yrs ago.I have the chance to get a hep b vaccine shots.Is this dangerous for me ? this is through my work and i rather they not know.

Not at all, its reccommended to get vaccinated for Hep A and B and get flu and pnuemmonia shots.

The hep B vaccination is in three steps Day 1, Day 30 and Day 180.  Get all 3 and see if you can get Hep A also.  No need to divulge the Hep C but you should get your Hep C evlauated every once in a while - the effects can sneek up on you over the course of time.

I too had the Hep B shot...  my doc strongly advised me too.  That was prior to starting tx, tho.

I too, received the Hep A and Hep B series.  In fact, this was recommended to me many years ago, right after my diagnosis.  My question will be to my doctor, how long do these shots last?  Do you have to get boosters ever?

I had both the twin rex shots for HepA and Hepb.  The way it was expained to me is that if you have Hep C you really don't want any other Hep.  Hep B is easily transmitted.

Hi, should should ask the doc for an antibody test about 4 weeks after the third shot of Hep B vaccine. About 5-10% of us do not react on the HepB-shots and should get another immunsisation methode then (shots that are for dialysis patients).

I've had hep-c for 28 years. I am just now getting the hep-b vaccinations. After the first one I've felt awful. I started the liquid silver treatment a year ago and until the shot, I've been feeling great! Now I feel awful, like before the silver treatment. It has been a month and no change. The silver doesn't even help me feel better. Should I get the rest or have my liver tested to see if it can handle anymore? Littlmore1959
