Hi there, good luck to you, I hope you can find an answer
Dee
I received treatment 2006 for hep c. I developed anemia 40 weeks into the treatment, receiving 7 pints of blood over two months. Low white cell count has been tracked back 20 months found to be low. I have not been diagnosed with an enlarged liver but the spleen. I am seeing an oncologist to rule out leukemia. She is also a hematologist. A bone marrow biopsy is scheduled. She is not ruling out the treatment was the cause of the damaged spleen. Thanks you for your post
While I have not heard of this for HCV follow up, it could be because your blood is not within normal range. I was diagnosed with HCV by a hemotologist/oncologist because my platelets were so low I was sent to him.
Good luck

It is difficult to follow the sequence of events can you please clarify.
Did you achieve SVR in 2006?
When did you develop anemia?
When where you diagnosed with low white blood cells? Recently?
When where you diagnosed with an enlarged liver? Recently?
Why are you seeing an oncologist? What type of cancer have you been diagnosed with?
