I'm very strange ...

My Christmas was marred by a revelation that made me very sad and distressed. Now don't stop to think and know I have to stay quiet, because in the tx beginning January 5. I am taking anti-depressant but my emotional is very weak by the facts I knew about who could be the guy of my life. How to fight if I have Hep C and the others are young and healthy ... that bad time to think about all this

hugs for all

I'd suggest focusing all your energy on getting healthy first.  Once this trt and hopefully SVR is behind you, you'll be free to enjoy life without the dark cloud over your head.  It's only 6 months that will go by quickly, so don't worry about the "what ifs" for now.

I have evidently had hep c since I got a blood transfusion in 1961. I was diagnosed with "non A/non B" hep in 1981.  Fotunately my loving wife (girlfriend at the time) married me and has stuck with me ever since (over 25 years).  She and my 18 year old son are both negative Thank God, and at 60 I have just started the new triple therapy and she is still there helping.

So, be hopeful, there are beautiful, wonderful people in the world that will love you regardless, and if not... Well better to find out now!

Have a wonderful New Year.

Hi Liavera, I too am scared, I see my hep doc next week, I am being positive and keeping a clear outlook on upcoming tx, we always fear the worst it is a defensive system kicking in, and as the others have stated the worst is all this waiting before starting . I have been waiting since March, so I know how you feel . We will get through this with the help of all these caring friends on this forum( our new family) just think how lucky we are . Lots of hugs out to you.Yesyerday I told my dentist , he said it was ok to treat me , I hope he doesn't change his mind when I call to make appointment in a fe weeks.

Thanks for the great strength. The feeling to have your support reinforces my confidence. The passage to 2012 with an expectation that I never felt in my life. 2011 was a time of discovery and revelation. The next will be to mend and healing all wounds. I count on you and you can also count on me
my best, hugs and more hugs .

We've all been there. The best part is having friends going thru it to remind you to:
Hang on
Snap out of it
Use Tucks
Go to bed
Drink water
Call ur dr
Cry if you need to
You get the idea.. Xoxo Karen :)

The treatment does not have to be a nightmare. I'm about to start my 5th week and have discovered a slew of ways to minimize the symptoms. I'm posting them at Hep-Free.com. You are not alone and this can be a very positive, and very cathartic process. Don't assume the worst, prepare for it, but don't assume it'll go that way. Good luck and keep the conversation going

What you're going through is so very normal.  Trying to wrap your head around what lies before you and keeping all the fears and worries of the unknown tucked away the best you can.   Try not to think the worst since it likely won't happen.  Once you begin these worries will go away and you'll focus on the day to day issues.  The members of this forum will be here to help you through it.  We're all in this together and we can all do it one day at a time.

I too was an emotional rollercoaster over the holidays.  Spent Xmas without friends and family feeling sorry for myself.  Starting tx next month so anxious and nervous.  But luckily i came to the forum and had others cheer me up.  It's all good to feel bummed...hang in there...just think about next year, it will be hear before you know it.

Lots of hugs....Jules

"I'm very strange..."
------------
Hey, me too!  When I had my revelation though, it was marred by the fact that it a revelation only to me :) (sigh).

Lots of strange and even stranger here!  Feel right at home!

Don't feel bad about feeling bad... you're processing things, there are going to be ups and downs... keep in mind that the goal is to come out stronger and better on the other side... and lots of hugs for you here.   ~eureka

Hi did you know that it can take 4 to 6 weeks for the ad to work?  Sorry if I misunderstood you.  I started mine before I started tx so it would be there when I started tx.  Of course you should do what your doctor wants
Take care
