I'm sorry all for the disapearing act. I'm just really overwhelmed right now trying to keep up with the house and keep a normal life for my kids when they want me to play and stuff when I really haven't felt that great. It's been really hard to keep up with anything these days. Also my computer was on the fritz for a while so That was another thing as well. I'll try to get everyone updated on here about everything but it might take me a bit. Thank you guys for checking up on me and I hope everyone is doing well. You'll be in my prayers.
Hi Gracie, thank you so much for sharing your experience, thanks to all for suggestion of sour candy. I am going to start tx in a few weeks and am trying to come up with a list of things to help me through this tx. When I tx'd back in 2008 I was pretty lost, did not know what to do. When I had "stomach" issues I was told to stop dairy to see if that would help, it did. I was still able to eat yogurt and that kind of soothed the GI
Good luck to you, please keep sharing

Ok, thanks. I really appreciate it. The doctor says it's best to to it when I am young, and healthiest...
Just because your viral load does not mean it's not doing damage to your liver. Mine was low too and I had already developed stage 3 liver damage; however, I was about 15 years older than you. Viral load does not correlate with liver damage.
There is no problem with you going in the water just try to avoid the sun once you are on interferon.
Hey, thanks for sharing your progress. We are close in age, I will be 30 in January, and I go see my doctor tomorrow to hopefully start TX this month. what other side effects have you had from the Victrelis? Any rash or hemroidal problems? I was told not to go in the sun. I teach swim lessons after my full time ofice job, so I am in the pool evenings and weekends. Maybe I should stay out of the water. I am so scared and nervous. What was your viral load when you started? Mine is genotype 1b, viral load was 94, 000 in 2007, and I need to get more blood work this wek. that viral count is so low, it makes me want to wait to treat. I don't know what to do, but I plan to start the treatment no matter what. sometimesit just seems dumb to put my body through all this since I am so young. I have had hep C for 10 years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and write me anytime you need a friend as well.

Hi Gracie. I agree with everybody here. Thanks for sharing your progress. I will keep you in my prayers. You're doing great, keep fighting.
Mykids247 -- thanks for the tip on the sour candy! I will keep that in mind if I need it.
I sure can relate to how you feel. Hang in there! This is only temporary, even though that is hard to imagine right now. This to will pass!
Gracie sorry its going so rough for you, but your attitude is great! Hang in there we all are keeping each other in thoughts and prayer.. Hope the 4 week results are really good.
Not sure if this will help but when my moter was being treated for cancer and had to go for chemo theyalways had a candy dish with sour hard candy in it. I asked her md. why only sour and he said it helps mask the metalic taste from chemo. Heck cant hurt right?
Your attitude is great!! Even tho your having rough side effects, you are stil positive! Thanks for sharing your progress, hope the 4 week results are good. Thank God for your husband and mom to be there for you :)
