as of now 3/16/2013 am not sure how long back it goes Rx Crossroads is supplying the drugs for free Iv been on Peglntron, rebatol, and Victrillis for approx 3 months and with in 2 months blood work showed no virus detected my Dr states we will keep the treatment going for 6 months and then we will talk about stopping treatment early as its a 1 year program
I don't think the salesperson from the drug company can comment on who will receive treatment first. That is up to each individual doctor. Each hepatologist/GI will have to decide for him/herself how many patients they can have on treatment and give the quality of care each one deserves.
That's just not for a drug company rep to decide.
As far as they are concerned, YES! Everyone gets drugs!
It does go towards the co pay. My insurance has a tiered co pay and this is at the top. I did the telaprevir study first time got placebo then did rollover the virus roke thru at week 6, but they would have pulled me because i had the rash very bad.
My hepatologist was quite impressed with my knowledge about the disease too. It is kind of funny the way doctors act when you tell them that you got info from the internet..... yet we get all of this knowledge from this forum and they are impressed.
Thank the Good Lord that we found this place.

Maybe the $200 reimbursed to the pharmacy from Merck will cover several co-pays ; )
Perhaps this sounds cynical however perhaps it encourages people to get started. If you've started on Boceprevir, you're committed to it and you won't be opting for Telaprevir once it hits the market if you've already started treatment or are already preparing to with Boceprevir. Merck will be looking to grab as much market share as they can in the window period while they're approved and Telaprevir is waiting to be. That's what it appears to me, based on the actions they're taking. Both drug companies will have a healthy investment made into the development of their drugs and they'll be looking to recoup. No different than any other purveyor of a product that has competition trying to entice sales. Perhaps a good thing for the consumer, as long as the consumer takes time to understand what's best for them.
Did the coupon for the INF/Riba specify Pegasus from Roche?
She said they can be used for your copay-IDK guess well see what insurance is gonna do Maybe high copay-at least thats what im thinking!!!!OH NO !!!!!cindy she said there are 2
1 for the victrellis and one for the riba and interferon
I dont get why they are giving out $200 coupons - are the expecting insurance not to cover it or the copay to be that high? I mean we've heard from 20,000 to 60,000 (nobody knows) in pricing.....what will the $200 do? And why would you need a $200 coupon for IFN/Riba?
