Introduction- Triple Incivek Treatment

Hello All, I've been a lurker for awhile and finally decided to introduce myself.  I'm a female in my early 30's and I was diagnosed with Hep C geno 1a back in October 2006.  From looking at my past my doctor believes I contracted it from a tattoo I got 7 years ago.

I started my treatment last Friday and just gave myself my second injection.  So far I've been very lucky that I have only experienced minor side effects like itching (no rash), minor headaches, nausea, and the worst is the acid like bowel movents.  I'm afraid to go now cause it's so painful to the point of me walking funny out of the restroom.  I have been using a cream and wipes and they definitely help after but it doesn't stop the pain during.

Last Friday before I took my shot I did take a couple of tylenol and I didn't experience any bodyaches or fever I was just tired.  I wish everyone here luck and I hope to participate more in this forum.

I'm supposed to take my second shot tonight but I've been so sick all week I don't know if I have what it takes to go another week sick as a dog.  Does it really get better or is this the way it is for the whole time??

I'm sorry you're feeling so sick.  From all the reading I have done peoples side effects come and go so If I was you I would take my shot tonight as scheduled.  For all you know you might wake up tomorrow feeling much better.  I'm taking this treatment day by day.  Just because I'm having good days it doesn't mean I can wakeup feeling sick as a dog.  We just gotta keep on taking our medicine and know that we're feeling sick because the medicine is doing its job and fighting for us!

That's the exact attitude you need to go into with.
Keep it up.
Good luck
