Iodine Supplements

Anyone know if taking iodine supplements for thyroid problems have any effect on the liver. I just recently learned of a possible Thyroid condition and was thinking of trying thyroid complex before trying a prescribed drug. I would be taking 250 mcg a day.

I use iodized Sea Salt to get some iodine since I don`t eat seafood.
don`t have Thyroid problems yet knock on wood , wk35....

No. No doctor ever suggested that to me. I've been taking Syntrhoid since my thyroid went in 2005 and it has been just fine. If you have to take a pill you might as well take the one that will fix the situation, and the synthetic hormone replacement will do that.
