Iron and HCV

I have started my fouth month ribovirin and Interferon.
Befor starting treatment my iron serum was 425 mcg/dl.
My doctor had blood removed before starting treatment we were
able to lower it to 75 mcg/dl which is normal range.
After two months My Iron serum is at 382 mcg/dl.
The doctor said that he did not know what caused this but did
say that it might be red blood cells dieing and building up in the liver but did not say if this was good or bad.
My ALT (sgpt) when first starting was 76 and AST (sgot)55.
Now they are both in normal range and my direct bilirubin was 0.5
and now 0.4 Total bilirubin was 1.6 and now is 1.1
My red cell count is 3.14 and Hemoglobin is 11.2
I know this is not much to go on but from what information that I have given you but with the high iron do you fill that the treatments are going to do any good.  Is there any thing that can be done to lower the iron at this time.
