Is Proscar bad for hepatitis C?

I have been taking 1.25 mg proscar for several years. Since the hep C diagnosis and subsequent start of treatment I have come to find out that proscar is suspected to stress the liver and MAY be contraindicated for Hep C esp on peg copeg. Does anyone have any experience here?

I don't have any experience with it and all I found about it was that you may need a lower dose or special monitoring during therapy if you have a liver disease.

I don't know about taking it while on treatment, I'd check with a pharmacist and with my liver doctor.

i guess you dont have bph . your using 1/4 of a 5 mg tab in place of propecia 1 mg for male pattern baldness a lot cheaper that way esp if gen proscar . your risk benefit  you lose the hair you have grown on this med ( a very sure bet ) if you stop.but if you dont you could injure your liver more (a rare occurance ) but could occur . hair or liver liver wins . prostate or liver i might consider prostrate  depending on liver damage just my thoughts good luck on your choice

Sorry for the intrusion, but I am wondering if anyone has been on LTD, and then approved for SSD, and how it was handled. I understand that SSD will pay  retractively for your 6th. mth. waiting period that most ins. co's. have?
