Is it a rash or hives?

A terrible rash appeared about four days ago.  It's all over my body except for my face.  Very itchy, raised red bumps - skin feels lumpy.  My brother, who has a history of hives, says it's definitely hives.  Does riba rash resemble hives, or am I having an allergic reaction?  I've read in various posts that riba rash comes and goes, but this does not go.  I'm scared that they'll take me off of tx, which naturally I do not want.  Have an appt. with doc next Monday, so I guess I can wait 'till then, but then I get frightened of hives in the throat and anaphylactic shock.  I know, that's probably paranoid to the nth degree, but...

Try some Benadryl. If it is hives it will definitely help.

Here is what mine looked like, it got worse and worse. it began AFTER tx and the doctor ended up putting me on steroids for sometime. It was really horrible. I feel so sorry for you right now. Mine was caused from my immune system attacking itself...from STOPPING the meds for some reason. Good luck and again, I am so sorry. I know it is just plain miserable.

Your photo looks awfully like what I have.  Were the red spots raised and lumpy?

ahh the rash, appeared and has changed. It stinks, try benadryl,gold bond defintely!!!green one, it helps. I have it bad too and have had it for long time now,on face is bad.wishes :)shelly

I just viewed your rash, its bad ..I have similiar on my face too! really red raised then it goes away a little then comes back, it stinks! I also have it on underarms,stomach,thighs,back..ugh..hope yours is better!! :)shelly

Mine has been gone now for about 2+wks ....WHOOPEEEEE!!!!! But that pic I took w/ my phone when it first began...to ask someone on here what it was...LOL. They all said the same thing...yep, got it too. The rash turned out to be from my system attacking itself after meds were stopped (or so they said) I became very ill and they placed me in the hospital on I.V. meds for a few hours a couple times. But yes, it was raised and really bumpy. I feel so bad you guys are going through this, it really stinks...please see your doc and ask him what he can do about it...nobody should have to go through that torture. Mequila.

Where did you see a photo of the rash. I have had rashes, skin eruptions, leasions, that all hang around forever, some have never gone away. I would like to see a photo. thanks. Sis
