Itch/rash relief

I saw a post a while back where several had discussed  creams for the itch. There was one mentioned by several I believe it started with a v   and was quite costly..but worked for most. Im looking for the name of this cream or what ever for someone who is not on this forum.  Thanks

My husband has had lots of rash and itching.  He tried every lotion and cream we could find and also took Benadryl.  One day my local grocery store had a table of freebies that included their own brand of calamine lotion.  I took a bottle on the off chance it would help.  It seemed to do the trick for both the rash and itching.  He hurried back to the store and picked up a few more bottles.  In addition his doctor prescribed Atarax.  With a combination of calamine lotion, hydrocortisone cream, a humidifier running each night and the Atarax, things are under control.

Just a side note here.
I have read some respond to the Gold Bond that 63michael mentioned and others the Eucerin. Gold Bond was the first lotion I used and the rash got out of control. The Eucerin was better for me. So if one lotion doesn't work try the other.

Having tried many different expensive brands , I have found the best to be
Gold Bond Body Lotion ( green bottle , red cap ) . Simply put it works and cost much less that many others out there .

Triamcinolone ointment does the trick for my ribavirin rash.
