Itching

I know most of the people on this forum are HepC patients..But does anyone know about AIH..I have AIH, went through the Prednisone Therapy & still on Imuran..I always did itch before I was diagnosed with it..Then when my levels came back to normal, most of the itching subsided..Now the itching is as bad as ever, does this usually mean my levels are up again..I'm not scheduled to see my gasto for another 8 weeks..Also I once read a posting on here about a certain lotion to use for the itching, can anyone help me out there..Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..Thanks in Advance..
Wishing everyone the best of Luck!!
Take Care.....

I have alot of itching also. I use Aveeno. That brand works best for me. They make something you can put in the bath water and soak in it, and also an oatmeal lotion.
Good Luck

Itching is usually caused by increased bilirubin. You need to schedule an appointment with your doctor and have bilirubin and liver enzymes checked. There is no way to tell if they are elevated without actually taking labs.
Sarna lotion worked wonders for my husband when he had this liver itch. It was the only thing that really made a difference.
