Geez, I was joking too girl! LOL...Mike was joking, Jim was joking. We all know you well enough to know you will know this! Of course we didn't think you were serious!
What's up with the new handle? I always wondered why Myown, I like MO! Now we have a Herown! I'm gonna make a new one....Linda'sOwn. LOL

Yeah I like "MO" too. I didn't change my name, someone else did and I kept it for a brief moment cause I am a people pleaser. Uhmmm He probably meant "herownworld," as in nutzzzz,,,,but I'm not nutzz. A nut would think the farting preacher video was real. So that settles that! I know you don't understand what I meant by that, but it does have meaning and was supposed to be carried to 2 graves and now one just released the info into the atmosphere - oh well. Don't ask me what this all means cause I am back to carrying the secret to my grave, lol,,so that other person is not free to tattle on me. Nooooooo tattle tales!
But anyhow, I like "Linda'sOwn" too. See ya later.

You don't mean Mike! He answered your question with sincerity! Sorry we were all having fun with you. I know you love us anyway!

You know I am only teasing them I hope - are you serious,,,did you really think I was mad? Mike thought I was serious too? Trust me I don't right boo hoo when I am serious.
I give up with typing on boards if you think I was serious.
Herown
Thanks Linda, I needed that today. This board is driving me crazy. I think we're being inundated with crack heads. Mike

Linda
GOOGLE - it's fun and it really works!
Hey ya know what? I look up to you guys for good answers - and I really didn't get a real answer from either of you guys,,,boo hoo, I am so disappointed in you both. I guess you really aren't doctors,,,,I was sorta hoping ya were.
Which room? That might be important.
Really? No way. Boy, I'm glad that's settled.
Called lab and answer is ''room temperature."
MO
I don't think I would even try, at this point! It's been so long since a bx for me. I did go through what you went through, trying to get an MRI on my back. It's in my garage, I think...I'll have to check my clipboard! lol
It took me half a dozen phone calls, two weeks, and three attempts to get the full slide set from the hospital. Da*n if I want to do that again. Anyway, they do not appear to be missed, and I''m taking very good care of them, not that I really need them now.
.BTW I follow proper protocol and make myself sign in and out the slides to myself whenever they leave the house.
Great idea, Jim! Do you have a little clipboard by the door, or a secretary to sign them out to you? LOL BTW I like my liver sauteed too!
Sorry, MO! I couldn't help it!
The serious answer is I was never given any sort of storage requirements when the slides were released to me, so I highly doubt that any sort of refrigeration is necessary, esp for short periods.
As to longer periods of time -- I've been storing my slides for easy access in my home filing cabinet for over two years now -- it's an interesting question, and you might therefore want to ask the hospital how they store the slides and then report back.

I think once the slides have been prepared there is no need for refrigeration. I believe that freezing the tissue is for the purpose of slicing and preparing the tissue for staining etc. A slide tray might be something to consider. Call the pathology lab to be sure because, after all, we're not really doctors here. Mike
You oprobably should keep it cold. Its a slice of meat after all.
CS
MO: Because if I pick up the slides, do I have to bring something to keep my little liver slice cold?

I prefer my liver slices warm and sauteed, but to each their own.
