I wonder if there has ever been a study that compares the livers of the Joe six pack type that probably drank way too much in college and now probably drinks 6 beers plus every weekend to that of someone who has had Hep C for several years and maybe has some minimal to moderate fibrosis.
The typical 'weekend warrior' who has NO Hep C (nor any irritants other than alcohol) will in all likelihood have little if any fibrosis. The interim 3-4 week days provide his liver w/the opportunity to rest, recover - and to repair itself.
