Just completed 72 weeks of treatment!!

Just wanted everybody to know that I just completed 72 weeks of treatment.  I have been on rescue drugs since week 20.

I feel that the treatment has taken a huge toll on my body. I am looking forward to a full recovery and hope I feel better soon.

Thanks to everybody on this forum.

Hurrah for you! Wishing you a quick return to feeling well again. I'm impressed that you could stick it out for so long while doing rescue drugs. Do something that makes you seel good, you deserve it. ( I'm going to a day spa and do the works when I finish).

i don't recall seeing you post before, but i wanted to also offer you congratulations for completing your tx.  72 weeks is a long time. be good to yourself as you recover, it will take some time.

i tx'd for only 21 wks. currently, some days are really good, then i slip back to exhaustion for another day or two,i am still working toward return of full strength and stamina.  but i do feel good, and don't regret taking the treatment even though i complained a lot during. i clearly "appear" to be healthier now.

best wishes as you move into the post-tx recovery phase.

Congratulations on completing week 72! Please keep us posted how you are recovering from the beating you took. I know from experience the last part of this long treatment is worse than the first part.

Very big congradulations.  I have a huge respect for anyone that does 72 weeks on tx.  Good Luck on SVR.  You should start getting the norm back in time.  Nygirl can give a better idea on the 72 week post tx.

Congratulations on finishing.  I admire your persistence in doing the 72 and especially your resourcefulness in switching interferons to achieve undetectable status.  I hope that bought you the svr that you deserve so much!
