Just venting....

Just venting....

Ive been positive mostly the 14 weeks of ny treatment so far but its hard. Im responding well so far, und at weeks 4 and 8.  I try not to complain too much, but I feel like a totally different person. Very tired, itchy and been constipated lately. I'm worried about getting sick and being near sick people as my blood  count is low..this is not easy with two kids.
I have a cavity that is going to wait three months until after tx...had a terrible experience earlier with an infection. I don't think I'm depressed clinically, just annoyed and uncomfortable.  I have psoriasis and wiry that any birth control might fail and I'll have to get a you know what. On top of this my husband wants sex?! We are careful x 3 but I liked my old iud. I should feel happy and count my blessings
I could go on and on! This website is a blessing, wish I would've found it sooner! Before tx, I couldn't decide between incevik or victrellis and chose vic based on the fat intake and the free coupons vic was offering on co pays. Not really an informed decision but worked out so far.
I'm off to get more blood taken now, hope I don't get the nurse that moves a around too much : p

Hi leebambee, sorry you are feeling down.  I think most of us can relate.  You probably should talk to your doctor, you may not be the best judge as to whether the interferon has kicked in depression.  If you are working, it may be good to take steps before it starts impacting your job.  Hope you have better days soon.

Sure you count your blessings. But when you feel like you got hit by a truck, it's ok to say it. Say it here! Don't hold in negative emotions. I don't complain every day, but I feel that if you hold it in too long, it's no bueno.
Your mind eventually takes it's pain out on your body. Take care of you. Karen :)

Did you get an IUD? I had to switch to the copper one since my husband is on treatment and would still like 1 more after treatment ( assuming all goes well). Not sure why i bothered though- 7 weeks in and he is feeling miserable the majority of the time, so I can't see sex happening, well ever on this treatment ( so if you do at all, really, you are amazing!) as for kids making you sick, I totally get that, I work at a university, our older son is in elementary school, younger in daycare- we are constantly bombarded with germs! Lots of hand washing. Good luck, and rant away on here. I think it's impressive you were able to control the rant to here and not at your husband or kids!

Don't let that tooth go.  Just call your dentist and tell him you need an antibiotic.    An infection in your mouth for another 3 months is far worse than a filling.  I had to have a root canal about 4 weeks ago (I was on week 20 with Victrelis).  Doctor gave me amoxicilyn for 7 days and I had no problems.  Please keep your mouth healthy.

I also had a tooth abcess (abscess) when I first added VIC. I also had to have a root canal The strange thing is it was under a $800.00 bridge that was perfect. The dentist said she was baffled as to how that tooth got infected, I was never in so much agony in my life, I was counting the minutes till the next day when she could do the root canal, Aren't you in agony?

No rocky, cavity must be small. I agree with you frijole, it'll become to o big and infected quickly. I will get the script next week. Thanks for all the support, I put on a brave smiling face all day. The way I feel reminds me of the methadone detox I did slowly ten years ago. My mantra then was mind over matter. It did work most of the time but you still have period of frustration and sadness. Thank goodness I have great friends. I also have 2 friends who are going thru chemo so that keeps things in perspective.
Hep cwife, I have the mirena, think no copper but these meds interfere with bc. I would check with his dr and your ob a the birth defects are significant.I had to sign lots of waivers and take pregncy tests before tx. Although, I could understand how your husband wouldn't be up for it. I have good days and bad. My husband tries to catch up with me on good ones.
Hoping to stay und but sometimes the sx feel like hep c, plays tricks on me.

leebambee - Not sure I was clear, but don't just get the antibotic (antibiotic), get on the antibiotic and have the tooth fixed.

rocky - you had a root canal on tx too?  How bizarre.  Mine was through a bridge too.  Boy was I sweating it because it ws a 4-tooth bridge and if it cracked it would cost a bundle.  As it was, between the root canal specialist & the doctor, a quick $1500.

That is strange that you had the same issue. Dentist are so expensive, working with providers for 30 years with the state Medicaid program I've learned dentist are money people. Most of them don't accept public assistance because we don't pay enough and of course thier is a shortage and they can charge whatever they want. My question to them is how can you refuse to help a child in pain? I'm not saying all dentist are like this there are some very compasionate.
