Since I haven't done vic, I can't comment to that.
I have gotten dizzy when my blood sugar drops or to a lesser extent, if I'm dehydrated.
My suggestion is to be certain you always have water and a snack with you.
I never leave the house without a granola bar, just in case.
Good Luck,
OH
Thanks ptz and mo, ptz if you get any additional info I hope you will share. I will do likewise. I think my head is stuck in a pink floyd concert. :p
Week 17of Bocep. and have been dizzy off and on the whole time...not too bad...but even more so in the last week....I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow..hope he has a remedy...
I am doing Vic and started it on Thursday (four week lead I. With soc) from the very beginning I have been dizzy. Added more water but did not seem to help. Saw my doctor last Monday and she said its not usually a side effect and maybe I need more water. Said nothing on my blood work would be a cause for dizziness. I have to steady myself quiet often. I can't blame vic, it started with interf/Reba. Also, like you, I can just be sitting and get dizzy.
Anyway, sorry I don't have more to tell you or help you. I am hoping it gets better with time.
Good luck and be sure to mention to your doctor. Mo
Thanks everyone. I don't know the specifics on my blood work. I really like my doc, she is always takes her time with me when I am in and seems to have good knowledge and resources. But she is the only one that can give me the results and she seems to only be in on Wednesday's, with no partner. Trying to get details is a game of phone tag. I did not hear my week 8 results and am not sure what she included in the bloodwork I called, left a message, and someone called back and said the doc said to say I was und. Great but am not feeling well so can I get the other numbers like my hgb? She has to call me back. No call back yet. They would not fax it. Will have to to try again Monday. I am sure if I pushed it as more urgent and I was not trying to call during lunch at work , I would get a better response. Will try again.
Yes, I have noticed it's worse without food, and best to avoid sugar, but even sitting now I am getting the dizziness. I had to stop in the middle of a discussion and just put my head in my hands this last week and stop talking for a while. Was worried I could not walk back down the street or even stand up. Took a long time before I could get up.
I've noticed a few times at work that I got dizzy to the point of concern. Fortunately I could sit down and wasn't in a public setting. The few times that it happened were just prior to lunch and I was beginning to get hungry. I try to have snacks occasionally, but sometimes hard to find the time.
What is your Hgb level? This could be the problem also and something to keep your eye on
For sure tell Dr. I've had dizzyness n have to just sit. The blood transfusion helped. Take another look at ur labs. Also, I tried itch rx and melatonin. Dizzy me! It's worse now than during Incivik. Hope it gets better for you. Karen :)
I did get some lightheadedness when I first started the meds but that has cleared up now. You are already 9 weeks into treatment.
Are your lab tests/blood work okay? Blood abnormalities can cause dizziness (low hemoglobin, electrolyte imbalance, etc.). I would discuss the dizziness with my doctor if I were you. Maybe he/she can find the cause and correct it.
