Keep the Faith

I finished my second treatment  in July. Diagnosed in 1997. Genotype 1. The first time I was treated was a total failure. My orthopedic doctor told me in March about new drugs since I last failed and suggested I visit the gastro dept. at Kaiser. Used Sovaldi,Ribivirin and peg shots. My liver was at beginning stage of cirrhosis . I was starting to wonder when cancer would set in.
Had blood drawn friday for todays appointment.
This is the first time I have ever seen my doctor smile. He handed me a typed up follow up sheetthat I normally get at end of visit.
It read: CONGRATULATIONS-YOUR HEP C VIRUS IS GONE.
It shows me that there is a god that answers prayers. My prayers are with all of you that will be and are still struggling with this disease.
