Lab results and open post

by layla, Apr 20, 2005 12:00AM
Dam! My throid labs came back perfect. I was really wishing this was the problem so I could just "take a pill" and be done with it. Of coarse my PCR and cryo labs are not back yet. I am now more worried. The rash and joint pain are still going on only more joints hurt as time goes on. I'm exhausted. Hopefully that's form the stress of the wait for lab results. I normally don't need much sleep but last night I fell asleep on the couch, which is highly unusual for me except when I was on tx, and my hubby couldn't wake me. This stinks. Sorry but I just needed to whine.
Please use this for any other post. LL

I understand only too well wanting to blame symptoms on the thyroid and getting a simple fix by adjusting the synthroid.  It seems this PIA tx keeps on giving and giving.  Go ahead and whine, I think we have all done our share and it's good to be where others understand.
I hope the best for your PCR and cryo results, please keep us posted.  Will be praying and waiting to hear.  Hope you feel better soon.

I realized I should not have wasted a post on this but once on I knew I couldn't get off without wasting the thread. Please do use this post. LL

Layla, You go ahead and whine if you want too. We all have once or twice okay some of us a few more times than that (me). That's what were here for. It is a good thing that your thyroid tests came back good. Trust me, it's not fun when it goes bad. And a thread is never wasted if it can help just one person feel better.

I hope that YOU feel better soon and good luck on your PCR.

hoo haa - a fellow whiner!!  i'm just mid-way thru week 2 and find myself doing alot of emotional rolling on this coaster called hep-c.  However, what i'm learning thru this msg board is that others are strong, have faith, make a decision to "beat" the disease, fight the battle, etc.  I know i want to do all of these things and i will, but i will also have days where i will whine and cry. (this is a new crying record for me - 3 1/2 days; 1/2 day off; and 2 more days!)  all the water im trying to drink is coming out my eyes. I am finding comfort in reading threads, going thru archives, and looking up the funny websites from cuteus.  But being the chemical machine that i am (a woman) i will break down too.  many thanks to all who have passed thru this special place, and to dave who hooked me up with medhelp.

Layla, I'm so sorry you're feeling lousy. Please feel free to whine all you want. This is the best place to do it because you're among family and it's safe to whine whenever you need to. Everyone here understands. You've already licked this thing, and now this. I'm sending you all my healing thoughts and good wishes for this to be a simple thing that just goes away.

I'm going away till Tuesday tomorrow morning, but I'll be thinking of you. My turn to whine: I am feeling fairly lousy myself, but with only 11 days to go, I'm handling it okay I guess. Sure am sleeping a lot...at least during the day. Usually I can't sleep like this, but for the past several days, I can barely keep my eyes open. And the achiness has not abated. I'm horrified to realize that I'm moving like an arthritic old person trying to avoid pain...Mouth sores also seem to be making an unwelcome comeback after being under control for the past year. I'll try to check in while I'm away, but if I can't, just know I'm thinking of you. Judi :-)

I've got you in my thoughts and prayers. Feel free to whine. It might just be another one of those hep c mysteries... I'm hoping you'll soon be feeling better.

Thanks to all of you. With so many on tx or dealing with retreating etc I should feel ok as my problems are not so big but it is nice to get a little sympathy when feeling down. I had the same stress waiting for my 6 month PCR. I think the joint pain has me more freaked out this time. Thanks again all of you. I'll try to keep the wait off my mind for the next week. I hope everyone has a good and side free weekend. LL

i was reading on HRQOL symptoms for hep sufferers and it seems as if those with prior mental health and iv drug issues had more significant differences in fatigue whether they had a vl or not ( very interesting). I am hoping to find a study focused on HRQOL joint aches/arthritis issues sometime.
