Last Shot Interferon

Well at last I can proudly say "I done it" .... wednesday night 24th Feb I had shot No.48 , I take Riba for another 6 days then presto I have done everything in my power to beat this Hep-C Demon .... Meeting with my HCV team yesterday I'm Undetectable & have been since at least week 12 ... He tells me all looks good but he always says for me to not get too excited yet ... I am on my 2nd round of Tx & last time as soon as I finished my 24wks the dragon returned about a month later. But last time was only 24 weeks & lower dose 800mg. This time I'm hoping 48 weeks of Peginterferon alfa-2b + 1400mg Ribavirin will squash the dragon big time.... My blood work (ALT 9 & AST 27) is in normal range which I'm so happy about ... It was a long road but anyone can do this if they focus 100% like I did .... Now its a very nerve bending time waiting until that big blood test in 6 months to see if I get my dream of SVR I keep you up to date everyone stay focused & be strong .

Thank you all of you I couldnt of gone through this Tx without my almost daily dose of this site ... I hope like crazy I get my wish because I put so much effort & devotion into this Tx ... Good on you Bill1954 I kept saying to myself if Bill went through this deal with such a long tough time then I must continue to the end.... Its marvelous what each of us can do when we need to ....  I will definately report back ....

good on ya for finishing ur 2nd round of tx n i hope u get ur well deserved svr,im 3 month post tx n still und and i was on a lower dose of interferon for most of my tx cos of low wbc so i never thought id even get und but we r al diff n hope now u r on alot of riba u will b ok,i was on 1200mg of riba so mayb thts wht got me und.

My symptoms were hard at times but easy other times , my main cause of concern was occasionaly my head would be racing like mad.... I didnt like the racey head feeling one bit, this hapened a few days each & every week & its much worse when you are tired ... I think the Tx is very do-able even though its tough, the thing that keeps me going is the constant thought of being "Cured" of Hep-C ... Geno 3a
