Last month of therapy

I have 4 shots of interferon left along with sovaldi and rebetol pills of my 12 week therapy. I got UND at 5 weeks (didn't have chance to test at 4 weeks). However instead of feeling better, I am feeling lethargic, sleepy, tired. It seems my body is exhausted of medicines or these are the signs of advanced fibrosis which fibroscan showed before treatment? I am confused now, but I hope I will get better.

Hi there.  I did that same treatment from 6/18/14 through 9/10/14 and the last month was the hardest of all for me.  My mind played tricks on me and was 'losing it' with my flipping out of the stupidest things.  But, it was the meds.  Also, the fatigue was totally getting to me then.  But, take heart, it's the meds and you're saturated.  Almost all of us that have done the treatment you are on, had the same thing happen.  Weeks 9-12 seem to be the hardest.  I've been off for almost a month now and even though my energy hasn't completely returned, my brain has settled down in the irrational thoughts way that I was having.  Hang in there my friend.  You'll make it through.  Susan400

I agree with everyone above.  I remember the last few weeks were very hard.  The body does get saturated and it is difficult.
You are doing great! Hang in there

Everyone is exactly correct.  It is the meds and has nothing to do with your liver becoming worse.  The odd thing is that while on these meds your liver is actually getting better since the virus is no longer attacking itself.
The last month or so is the worst.  Just hang in there as your almost to the finish line.
Good Luck

My bloodwork is at acceptable levels still. Hemoglobin has dropped from 16 to 13,2. Probably that drop is having effect on me. Thanks for your support friends!

OH wow this post almost made my heart drop through my stomach. No you are not getting worse. I don't know what stage of fibrosis you are but you are UND. What you are describing sounds like the very awful, overwhelming and extreme side effects of the heavy duty drugs you are taking.

When was your last set of labs? Riba can make our Hemoglobin drop which in turn can cause a certain type of anemia. It may not be severe enough for intervention but it does not take much of a drop in this value to feel completely drained no matter what you do.

You have come a long way and you are in the home stretch.
Hang in there !  !

Yes I agree, the last month was harder for me, I started feeling saturated by the meds, and more tired. But the end is in sight for you, so keep focused on that reward. Keep drinking water and eating. Your liver is getting a workout with this Tx, it took several months after Tx before I started feeling better. Hang in there.

What your feeling is quite normal and nothing to worry about. It is just the meds effect on ones body. These our strong meds and tends to run one down after awhile. It will be over soon and in time you will feel better again. Just hang in there.
