Last shot and other questions

I never thought I would get to this day. I take my last shot tonight! I never would have made it without the generous support of the members of this forum. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I did my last shot last fri and then finished my meds last nite.  I did the dance in someone else' thread. I feel like grrrrrrrrr cuz' i'm coming off pain meds and they are not weaning me off.....40 mg of lortab a day...then none! Oh well I made it through these 48 wks. so what's a couple more days? You hang in there...I think  the hardest part for me was taking those last 2 days of pills.....BTW it's almost 7pm when I always took my rib.  Hubby just came in and said can I get YOUR>>>>>then he said, "that's right there is no more in the frig......I looked @ him confussed and said what are you talking about...he said pills there are no more......he looked @ me and said how quickly you forget.....I said HEY NOW...I will never forget....the brain phog will leave too!!!! Sometimes I wonder if I will forget the pain...sorta like when you have a baby.....GOD KNOWS I will never forget my hep c family. There's nobody like you all. HUGS@PRAYERS TO YOU ALL.......way to go Barb!!!!!!!!!!! ~Cindee~

Congratulations, Barb.  I'd grit my teeth and take the week's ribas until the next "shot time" - only there won't be a next shot time, hopefully ever again.  You got through some challenging times!  Maj Neni

As the peg stays in your system for about a week, you should take the Riba for one week after the last shot, ie up until your "normal" shot day. After that there's no point as it is not effective on its own.
