Last week of Sovaldio &Olysio

It's weird how this treatment seems to have taken a long time (and it was only 3 months) and a short time, as well. I am not as fortunate as most as I did and do have side effects, but ultimately, I found it to be imminently doable. Especially as compared with the old standard of care (there's really no comparison, hats off to all who did that, some a number of times...after this? I say nothing but goodness should happen to you brave soldiers) so I feel particularly fortunate. But it's weird, seems like this last week is hitting me the hardest, I barely want to walk around (and I did have a bone marrow transplant 2 years ago so I'm not like most of you) What I wanted to know is, how long did most of you take to withdrawal from these drugs and feel better, to much better? From the boards I'm getting anywhere from 5 days to a few months. Of course, SVR is what I'm shooting for, what we're all shooting for, and this is such a secondary concern: but I would like to know if you have the time and inclination to let us know. Thanks for all your support!!! Continued health and SVR who have had to deal with this nasty dragon!

Hi there   I took Sovd/Riba, and it took 2 months to feel good.   It took 4 months to feel great!   I blame it on the Riba, so you may feel better right away.  My Docs mentioned 3-4 weeks, but they say that only to make you feel better mentally.
For me, the time flashed by.  Feel as tho I never even treated it happened so quickly.  Guess that's because I asked when could I get them, and the next day they were on my doorstep.   True!
Hang in there, and we all hope for good results.

Congratulations on reaching the end of your 12 weeks.  I begin Sovaldi and Olysio tomorrow, 7/16.  I'm glad you listed your side effects.  I've read a lot on the internet from various sources, but the best ones are always the patients who are taking the drugs!

What should I expect that you didn't already list?  Are there foods to eat or not eat that help with nausea, fatigue, etc.?  I did the interferon 3 different times, once with Ribavirin.  Nasty stuff.  I felt horrible, and to top it off I never cleared on any of them!  I feel like I should be doing something, but I don't know what it is I think I should be doing to get ready, if that makes sense.

Well congrats on completing your final week of meds!  I suffered from SX as well . Headaches, insomnia , fatigue, irritability , loss of appetite.
Everything went away within a week. Except for fatigue but someone just told me if it didnt go away right away it might take another month or so. My body did not like the Ribavirin!

Good luck to you on reaching SVR!
