There are alot of things that can cause leg cramps. Are you on any cholesterol meds? The major side affect is leg cramps. It is not uncommon to become dehydrated on treatment. When dehydrated you can have a low potassium. I hope you can resolve the problem. You might try eating a banana or have some OJ. It certainly won/t hurt. Fluids, Fluids, and more fluids. If you drink coffee or anything with caffiene, remember you have to drink 2x that amount to stay hydrated. Bottom line you are not alone.
You can get something called tonic water at any grocery store and it has some quinine in it and drink it before bed it will help the cramps...so will bananas...it usually means your potassium is low...hope it helps
I have had leg cramps since I was 7 or 8 years old (docs have said low calcium or arthritis)...I'm 41 now and have been treating for 14 weeks. Since starting treatment my leg cramps are much worse to the point of having a hard time walking some days. I do have pain meds that I take, otherwise I take hot baths to help relieve it some. Good luck.
Yes . I got cramps especially after 4-6 hours of the interferone shot. It used to reduced upto 50-60% when i took a pain killer, But as per my knowledge its not un-common to have cramps during Tx.
