Less severe sides.....just checking in

Hi everyone.  This is my 23rd week of triple tx w/VIC.  I find myself getting more complascent (sp?) about taking my meds on time, as time goes on.  A bad thing.  Since I can't/shouldn't scroll (Tendonitis pain big time) right now.....someone here posted about wanting to know about those with less severe side effects.  I would fall into that group.  My sides have been many and often (check out my journal), but not nearly as severe as many here.  Let me see if I can pick the worst:

Anemia: shortness of breath; heavy-ness of chest; legs and arms; weakness; lack of concentration
Nausea: that "I don't feel so good" sensation; just enough to bug you but not enough to make you throw up, but you wish you would
RIBA/Interferon Rash: non-visible rash but extremely itchy; scalp and armpits were the worst
Metallic taste: Not constant but some days it was so bad that it made it difficult to swallow my own saliva; bad taste just sits on the palette

Then, pre-existing condition made worse by tx:

Vertigo: VIC brought on Vertigo FULL FORCE; had to take off work several times because I was so disoriented

At week #20, I decided to start working out again, with someone who can work around my injuries and this tx.  I am doing this 3 days a week and it does help my energy and sense of accomplishment.  I have been working full time throughout tx, as my doc does not give disability for Hep C tx.  I threw up Friday night, had chills, diarrhea, shakes, pain in rib cage (part gas and part I have no idea).  Not sure why, as I can't say whether it was from tx or not.  Sick the rest of the weekend too.  Still struggling but better than Friday.  Taking Zofran and Zantac (about an hour apart).  It is helping.

Okay, the elbows, shoulders and forearms are ushering (screaming) me off the computer again.  Praying the best for all of you!  Saying a special prayer of support for friend Eureka and family.

Hi Bee...I am sorry you are going through all of this.  I have no idea what you are going through yet, but just wanted to let you know we are behind you 110%!  I can understand when you don't feel good the last thing you want to do is get up and take more meds.  But you gotta do it and from everything I have read....timing is everything!  So please make more of an effort to take the meds on time.

Hang in there babe!  You can do it...and best of luck for SVR!

Bee, you're such an inspiration to everyone! I really hope you feel better real soon.
A couple days ago can-do-man was saying where's Beeblessed when you need her. We all depend on you for your expertise and support.

Please, try to focus on taking your meds correctly. You've come too far to let things
go. Your sx might not be as bad as some, but you've fought a good fight and
we all want you to finish SVR and be able to go on with your life.

I'm adding you, if it's OK, to my special little prayer list.
This too will pass and one day you'll look back and wonder "did I really do all that."

We Love You,

Reva

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers!  I'll be okay.  Just didn't know who posted a request to hear more about less severe sides.

Also, adding to the worst list.......Ear pain.  I had it when I first added VIC and even though it went away in a few days, it hurt so bad it made me cry in the grocery store.  (Wow, that sounds like a country song.  LOL!)  In my opinion, the ear pain was tied to the intensity of the Vertigo because of the VIC.  I have had ear pain & Vertigo on and off since adding the VIC.

Elbows hurt.  Bye for now.  Hope to be back real soon.
Bee :)
