Life after prednisone

Well my daughter's lab work came back today within normal limits and after two years of treatment for autoimmune hepatitis with prednisone and immuran she gets to stop the prednisone tonight. since she has had a hard time with the side effects of the prednisone we are greatful, yet at the same time I am scared that with only Immuran she will come out of remission. How has anyone done after prednisone was discontinued? Did Immuran alone keep you in remission? would love to hear from anyone with autoimmune hepatitis.
