Live Chat - please participate

If you are interested in chatting live we are trying to get a group together on http://groups.msn.com/HotHeps - we are trying tentatively for tonight (Tues).

There's a survey going on right now to figure out when the best day/time is for everyone so as many people as possible can participate.  If you are interested please go to the site above and let us know when you'd like to chat or just show up at the scheduled time (we'll post it when it is decided).

See you there!

I did triple tx with incivek for 12 weeks, riba & interferon for 24 weeks. All of my labs were UNDected. I finished tx 4 months ago today. I was geno type 1a fibrosis stage 3. I was diagnosed 1 year ago & I've already completed tx successfully. I lost 80% of my hair but it's coming back. Treatment works! The people on this site are wonderful about answering questions.Don't be scared.

"hi I am newly daignosed hepc geno 1a im scared because of the side effects will we get our heath back?"

Hi paloma, I was diagnosed geno 1a as well, I did 48 weeks of treatment with incivek, interferon and ribavirin from 8/24/11 until 7/24/12, the treatment wasn't a cake walk by any means but I made it through, I am almost 4 months post treatment, still undetectable and feeling great, almost like brand new, I say almost because I am 47 :), the positives are I stopped the damage being done to my liver.

Do you know how much liver damage you have? I was at late stage 3 when diagnosed so I didn't feel I had time to wait for less harsh treatments

Welcome to the group

My name is Richard Benson 58 years, I have been told on April 1st 2010 I have hep c. I started my treatment on June 27th 2012 and it took 5 weeks for me to get rid of 36 million bad cells in me, in 5 weeks I zeroed out.

I would be interested in  a chat as well of the situation is right.  I have wondered what I would do if I needed liver transplant without insurance.
